Sheppard enters B5 at Boothill

Brandon Sheppard unloaded his No. B5 Rocket Chassis Late Model over the weekend at Boothill Speedway for a World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series doubleheader during the Bayou Classic.

With 41 entries on hand for Friday’s opener, Sheppard advanced two spots in his heat race to finish third, then gained another two positions in the 30-lap feature to record an eighth-place finish.

On Saturday, Sheppard earned his spot in the $50,000-to-win main event by winning the 10-lap B-Main. Despite a late-race pit stop for a flat tire on lap 63, he salvaged a 16th-place finish in the 70-lap finale.
