Rocket1 Racing and Sheppard Visit Bulls Gap for Scott Bloomquist Memorial

SHINNSTON, W.Va. (09/15/25) – Brandon Sheppard and the Rocket1 Racing team honored a Dirt Late Model legend last week with a trip to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the inaugural Scott Bloomquist Memorial.
The event, part of the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota miniseries, took place Thursday and marked Round 7 of the 10-race tour.
Sheppard faced an uphill battle early in the night, failing to transfer out of his heat race. However, he secured the final transfer spot in his B-Main to punch his ticket into the $20,018-to-win feature. Making the most of the opportunity, Sheppard advanced six positions in the 50-lap A-Main to record a 16th-place finish.

Sheppard and the Rocket1 Racing team are gearing up for the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway this weekend. The three-day event features preliminary programs on Thursday and Friday, building to Saturday’s $75,000-to-win main event.
