Sheppard attends Lincoln Speedway's DIRTcar Summer Nationals event

After spending the weekend with Rocket1 Racing in Pennsylvania, Brandon Sheppard made an overnight trek to Lincoln Speedway on Sunday to compete in a DIRTcar Summer Nationals event in his family-owned No. B5 Late Model.

An early incident in his heat race—contact with another competitor—put Sheppard behind the eight ball for the rest of the night. He rebounded to win the C-Main and advance into the B-Main, but his charge toward the $7,500-to-win A-Main came up short with an eighth-place finish.
